The main provisions of the legislation of Ukraine on employment of foreigners in Ukraine:

1. All foreign citizens (stateless persons) are required to obtain a work permit before employment.
2. The work permit is given to employers (the legal Ukranian company).
3. In most cases, a work permit is issued for a period of not more than 2 years.
4. The work of foreigners may be used by one or more employers, subject to obtaining a work permit for each position. Exception : foreigners who has a work permit may temporarily replace an absent employee for no more than 60 days.

5. One of the main conditions for issuing a work permit is the payment to a foreigner of a  salary, in the amount of not less than the minimum salary. From October 01, 2022 - UAH 6700. 6. The State employment service is granted the right to cancel the work permit when the fact of termination of the employment contract is revealed.

7. The State employment service is granted the right to cancel a work permit when determining the fact of employment on other terms than specified in the work permit (including work in combination without obtaining a new work permit, payment of wages in a smaller amount than stated in the obtaining of a work permit).

Question: I got a work permit, now the company in which I work should pay me a minimum of UAH 6000 (10 minimum wages). If I will be paid officially less, it is something that threatens me?
